Description

Maintains knowledge of agency programs and eligibility criteria and inform participants of CAAGKC programs and services they may qualify for after completing Intake Form

Responsibilities
  1. Perform client interviews and educate clients on programs and services
  2. Maintain knowledge of agency programs and eligibility criteria and inform participants of additional CAAGKC programs and services for which they may qualify
  3. Collect, verify and certify all program intake information according to program guidelines
  4. Date stamp documents upon receipt
  5. Precisely enter information into all required databases
  6. Maintain accurate records and notes
  7. Inform clients of program guidelines, rights and responsibilities
  8. Assist with front desk duties, co-workers and participants as needed
  9. Provide excellent customer service to clients, staff and vendors by telephone, in person and/or in writing
  10. Adjust to frequent changes in duties and procedures and adhere to deadlines
  11. Be non-judgmental and objective in working with clients, vendors and coworkers
  12. Ability to schedule appointments
  13. Ability to work independently or in a team setting 
  14. Ability to work efficiently and effectively in high-stress situations
  15. Represent CAAGKC at special events, meetings and/or remote locations to collect and/or inform applicants of programs and services
  16. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. One (1) year experience in clerical support, social services, customer service and/or related field
  3. Type 45 words per minute and basic math skills
  4. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow training manual guidelines and procedures
  5. Experience working with the public
  6. Excellent listening and assessment skills
  7. Proficient in alpha-numeric filing, Microsoft Office products: Wrd, Excel, and Outlook and ability to learn State agency database
  8. Experience using email, facsimile machine, scanner and copier
  9. Some evenings and weekends required
  10. Reliable transportation, active driver license and car insurance
